The liberal Democrats are loosing their grip on the media for the first time since the nineteenth century. With the Internet in play the country may not see another Obama/machine election ever. We the people came together behind Scott Brown and next Tuesday that may prove to be enough.

While I originally commented I clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now whenever a comment is added I get four emails sticking with the same comment. Will there be any way you can remove me from that service? Thanks!

My goodness Kate, You sure have the right to be very stressed. Your dear Dad has had more then his share of bad medical care.
Kate, I have had 19 surgeries not counting the other time spent in hospitals for 4 children. I was in for two weeks making sure I didn't lose my precious Robert.
Here is a little humor. I came home from that experience with jock itch. Oh My, I had no idea what it was until Herb told me I had critters down there! I called my Doctor who laughed. He said it must have been on a blanket at this first class Myer House which is part of Michael Reese hospital. I survived and have my wonderful son to prove it.
I could tell you many horror stories some about poor surgery, some about bad surgeons, all came highly recommended. I have had blood transfusions due to Doctor neglect. Had to take a serious antibiotic to avoid death from too much of others.
My beat advise to you Kate Dear, is to start from today. Assess the situation. Make sure the Doctor has Dad's best interest at heart and is prepared to do what it takes to save his life. Is your Mom with Him? I hope family and friends are there for support.
I am adding Kates's Dad to my prayer list. I hope you keep me abreast of how things go.
May G-D bless and protect you all.
                    Love Roberts Mom

Dear Karin,
How right you are. We humans are surrounded by little red, green, blue, and flashing lights emanating from the television, telephone, and,in my case the computer. Please don't tell anyone, but I cover all I can't turn off with a heavy towel. That includes my clock. I am a clock watcher at night so I peak under it as I go by!
Sunday I had no telephone service again! Now what I thought. I didn't have time to deal with it as a friend & I visit a sick friend with the worst illness I have ever seen, Parkinson's. Poor girl cries with her eyes when she sees us but can't wipe away her own tears. She can't speak or do for herself. What could be worse? I pray for G-D to release her from the prison of her body.
Anyway, I called from my cell today to find out it was a computer glitch that silenced our phone, not lack of payment!. After it was fixed I discovered AT&T decided I had to use their voice mail. No way. I have an answering machine that announces who called and when and leaves their message all for nothing. I dealt with three recorded voices telling me what to do next. The third tried to fix the problem of turning theirs off only to say, sorry there was a glitch try again. Not having time I was shocked to find my trusty old answering machine working when we returned home at 6.
We had been to the beautiful new city hall recently built in the circle on Hollywood blvd. I was not allowed to buy a permit to rehang our hurricane shutters as only a contractor can do that noble job. I was further shammed by not being able to extract us from the circular maze surrounding City Hall. After at least three tries I quit going in circles and went straight across to another street off the circle to avoid getting too dizzy to continue driving.
The next thing on the days agenda sounded like a snap. I had received a notice that I should get the shot in Public's walk in Wellness Center to avoid getting shingles. I am sure I must have had Chicken Pox though I have no memory of it or anyone to ask. The card said it was located at 28th and Stirling. We live at 61st and Stirling so I felt it was no problem to get there. Only Karin their was No Wellness Center or Publics at 28th and Stirling. My friend who had gone with to get her shot said. "Jean, let me see the card." Here is another secret, it was located in a Walgreens! It seems when I read something wrong I put it into my mind that way and no matter how many times I look at it I have decided where it is.
I once had a flight to Chicago. I was sure it was on a Wednesday and never checked my ticket again. I arrived to check in and was told. Well Mrs. Dover you are on time but your ticket was for yesterday. Luckily the agent took pity on me and let me board.
We arrived at the Wellness Center at 3. I sat chatting with a lovely young lady who was ahead of us. Latter I found out she had been exposed to Swine Flu at her daughter's camp!. Thank goodness the technician called her while we were there to tell her she didn't have it. Getting approval from the insurance company took ages, the shot hurt but the deed is done.
I am in the home stretch with our re-do. Only plants, containers and odds and ends left. The roof still has a tarp but I have given up worrying about that which I have no power to fix.
Maybe life will get easier and I can go to Lizza's Place for Caregivers and learn how to deal correctly with Herb. Another of life's challenges.
Karin, I am so happy Robert has been lucky enough to have you in his life. Please keep tuned. I am going to do a Mothers and Mentors column and you will be featured as a Mentor in it big time. I will get your number from Robert & call to give you the details.
                        Love,
                         Roberts Mom

Hi, I have been following you and the same kind of cosmic insanity that technology and ancient logistic systems are causing to me and everyone around us. If it's not a new phone problem, it's an old phone problem. Download my old address book into the new phone, now I have Dover listed as Dover Dover Dover - it's in there three times ! I have a garage filled with gagets, gizmo's and machines....finally I said to myself that I would no longer sleep in a room that had red, green or flashing lights anywhere ! I would like to invent a small room, 4 x 4 that housed all the gear I have, all the plugs, cords, switches and like. It would be on wheels, able to move about with me and protect me from the radio waves and other oddities we know so little about. So next time you are "in the throw's of ? " give me a call, and we can swap stories !! I bet i am in Robert's phone at least twice ! Ha ! Miss you, love you, K
