Ah! I haven’t been on the internet all weekend! I missed this one! I’ll have to try for the last two answers I guess!
Hi Jean! Hope you are doing well! How is the weather in FL? It’s been a rainy weekend here in Chicago, but I’m not complaining because it’s about 60 degrees, which means its getting warmer every day! I hope you and Herb are doing great, I’m thinking of you all of the time! Write when you can!
Love Jessica

Dear Jessica,
You have been on my mind a great deal too. Every time I go to RD’S website I hope to find you there & tonight here you are.
The first person to answer all 6 questions right on Mom’s Twister gets the prize. Give it a go. As soon as I get a winner I will put up another. It surprises me how many people enjoy the game.
I spoke with my brother this morning. He lives in Oak Brook Ill. He said you were having a cool rainy weekend. I hope you have a place where you can ride under a roof.
Robert is off to Toronto to coach his Canadian team. He is so proud of how great they are doing and how most of them are scoring 70 and more. Next he goes to Europe with them for the summer tour. Robert is a wonderful son. No matter where he is he calls me everyday. Our older son Al is coming to spend Mother’s Day with us.
Jessica, I just realized that was insensitive of me. I know this will be a very hard Mother’s Day for you. Just remember you were a wonderful daughter to her, and find comfort in knowing she is watching over you and wants you to focus on your great times together.
Lovingly,
Robert’s Mom, Jean

Hi Marci,
I love you too, and understand very well how you can get stuck in overdrive.
I was so happy we had a torrential rain storm this morning. I got to my addiction causing computer. Here it is almost 1 o”clock and I have done nothing but call to make Doctors appointments, and eat.
Robert is in Toronto with his Canadian team. He is so proud of them, most are now riding in the 70%. Take care of “YOU”.
Love, Robert’s Mom Jean

Dear Bernie,
I hope you made your Mom happy on Mother’s day. Do you celebrate it in May? Our son Al was here for his 62nd. birthday and Mother’s Day. The year he was born it was Mother’s Day. I had been wondering what I would do, but not for long. Robert came down and we all had dinner together along with Robert Ross’ Mom and a few Mothers with out local children. We never leave anyone out if they are alone.
Robert left for Brussels today along with his Canadian team. They have made him very proud this winter. I am happy I can e-mail him everyday. Isn’t that wonderful?
Margo comes next, then Dale. Al said he would be back in August. I told him it wasn’t necessary as they all come for my New Years birthday.
I have lost about 10 pounds I now am only 96 pounds. I think that worries him. This medication I am on does it. I do eat and drink Ensure.
We have a show here called American Idol. I love it having been a singer and actress in my youth. It is about to come on so I will say thanks for keeping me in your busy day. I will soon get a new teaser on.
Love Robert’s Lucky Mom, Jean

Dear Robert’s Mom
I have my right arm in a splint -tendonitis - tricky to type! You take care of yourself and well done for taking Ensure, did you find a good flavour? I had it while in hospital a few years ago, the lime one was OK.
Will write more when arm better,
Much love
Bernie x
PS our mothers day is earlier - very confusing!
Jean — May 25, 2010 @ 9:03 pm
Dearest Bernie,
How did a nice girl like you get tendonitis? Are you a golfer or tennis player? They are prone to get tendonitis.
I know you are aware that I have been fighting lung cancer for 7-1/2 years. For the last 6 months my Doctor has had me on Tarceva. It is a very strong drug usualy gvien when all else fails. I hated it because it made blisters on my face and in my mouth. I decided last week to stop. In one week everything cleared up,I felt stronger and healthy. Today I walked into my Doctors office and said to him to please get out his bowls of possible drugs as I wasn’t going to take Tarceva, period. He said why, you are better then you were a year ago!!!! That was the last thing I expected to hear. He told me I could try 25 mgs, I had been on 75, and see how that worked for me. I was amazed thrilled and gratfull. Most people take 150! So Bernie, Robert’s Mom has had another MIRACLE. I thank God, my family, and all my friends for their prayers. I am working on my memories of the Athens Olympics, and a new teaser. I had lost my desire to continue. Now look out. I will soon be back in print.
Love You,
Robert’s Mom Jean

Dear Robert’s Mom,
I am so thrilled to hear about your latest miracle! This is just the BEST! Wonderful!
Can’t wait to read your Athens memories. Hopefully my arm will be OK to figure out the teaser. We don’t know why I got this tendon thing but it’s very boring. It’s definitely on the mend though and I am starting physio.
Talk soon, lots of love,
Bernie
