Canadian Squad Riders Wear Helmets!
I read somewhere that people were saying how much they regret that Dressage riders in Europe are not wearing protective helmets as so many including myself are in North America. How wrong they are! Our entire Canadian Squad have worn their helmets every minute they are on their horses and only used their Top Hats in the main arena at the show in Wiesbaden. I am very proud of our Canadian riders for being great role-models and showing that safety is paramount. Here is a shot I took of Shannon Dueck on Ayscha the day before the Grand Prix in the main arena.
Cheers!

Way to go Canadian riders! Thank you for reminding everyone that horses are powerful creatures who can sometimes make their own decisions which are not in our best interest. Those who wear helmets show that their brains are worth protecting.

God only gave us one brain. All it takes is one fall. Wearing a helmet is a small price to pay for protecting what God gave us. Kudos to the Canadian team for showing their intelligence in the sport and realizing the risks that could result! I can only hope that more people in the world will take notice. It is time to put away the vanity and just use some plan ole ” common sense smarts”!

Why not wear the helmets in the ring? That is like saying I wear my seat belt all over town but not when I go on the highway.

So much for Parkers claim that he can taste blind and unblind with the same degree of accuracy. In the old Prodgy days he claimed he had trained himself to filter our any possible influence when tasting unblind. Poppycock then, poppycock now. He just doesnt get it.

WOW! I am sorry I came into this riveting conversation so late! Was thinking this was just another piece about Danny Boyle and Slumdog Millionaire. Goes to show never ever assume anything.Anirudhya Great piece! So short and yet so insightful and to the point. I have to say I have been a great admirer of SM along with millions of others but you have given me an insight that I never considered. Its a national pride that I feel strongly about my own country. It finally sank in, how a foreigner picked on India in a way Like people who say I can talk s**t about my mother but if someone else does, god help them!!Anyway, on the subject of the short film, call me a prude, call me old fashioned, call me all kinds of conservative names in the book, although I know this kind of scum exist in the world, I DONT want to see it in my movies. I think the short film was a very poor choice. But to Mr. Boyles defense, and as Mr. Kashyap points out, he probably had very little to choose from. There seldom are great shorts about India which deal with anything other than squalor and poverty

I have really learned result-oriented things via your web site. One other thing I want to say is that newer laptop or computer os’s have a tendency to allow a lot more memory to be played with, but they also demand more ram simply to perform. If your computer is not able to handle much more memory as well as the newest software requires that memory increase, it may be the time to shop for a new Laptop or computer. Thanks
