I am very excited about my radio show tomorrow night at 6-8pm on WBZT (AM1230) in the Palm Beaches and live arouid the world right here at DoversWorld.com. My first hour will include my International Reporter, Lita Dove with the latest news of the Equestrian World from around the globe and great Special Guests. First up will be Ron Davis and Director of the Palm Beach Film Festival, Randi Emerman, to discuss some of the Gay related films especially picked by them to highlight during the Festival between March 23rd to the 31st. It is so great to be having this first ever Palm Beach International Film Festival!
And in the same hour I will be talking with Debbie and Heather Frazier, the founders of the Straight and Gay Alliance here in the Palm Beaches. This Mom and daughter team are amazing and Debbie (Mom) has gone from 0 to 100 on the political activism scale in less than a year! This will be a very interesting conversation - I promise!
My second hour will be with Mark Bellissimo, CEO of Equestrian Sport Production andthe mastermindbehind the takeover and building of the WEF show grounds since 2007 and his 2nd in command, Michael Stone, one of the most experienced leaders in the Equestrian world for decades. We will discuss the latest and greatest news of the Wellington expansion of the Horse show venue to produce a world-class Series on an equally world-class facility like no other anywhere! This is the most exciting news since the U.S. getting the WEG and the World Cup Finals! I always bring up the novel, ” The Truth Machine” to describe what our world would become if there was no possible way to lie without it being discovered, EVER! We would all know the absolute truth from politicians, big businesses and our closest friends. With no possibility for untruths, the world would become one of peace and harmony where everyone always was clear on every single detail in life.
Well, to a certain extent, technology and communication is bringing the truth ever closer to our collective consciousness and our conscience and we are no longer able to tolerate the sad circumstances for whatever reasons on the other side of the world, just because they are not under our nose. We see what is happening in Chile, Japan, Haiti and in Lybia, Yemen, Tunisia, Egypt and Saudi Arabia and we must act on behalf of those under assault by nature or tyrannical dictators!
It is a smaller and smaller world we live in and I don’t just want any longer to be proud to be an American - I want to be proud to be a member of the human race. That means that there should never be an instance where a young girl is abducted and raped in a society that would allow her own family to have her killed out of their shame! And adultery by a man is fine but a woman is stoned to death in the town square!
People everywhere deserve to be free and safe and to raise their families without fear because of their faith or cultural differences and LOVE should always be the answer…never hate or fear!
President Obama has stepped up again with a no-fly zone over Lybia and I am proud of his move to protect the people of that country. We owe it to innocent people everywhere to help them in their hour of need!
Cheers!

Take a look at page 10 of the FTI WEF Weekly Wire magazine for March 16-20 and you will see and read all about the exciting news for the future of the Wellington Equestrian (Dressage) Industry. Everything from the Vision, the Expansion and the Master Plan and where we are headed is clearly stated along with gorgeous pictures showing just how beautiful this fantastic show facility will be! More than just a show grounds, it will be the “Gateway to the Equestrian Community” and offer all of our citizens, horsey or not, a wonderful opportunity to shop, eat and mingle with Equestrian Stars.
It is my greatest hope that our entire community will see beyond personalities and any past conflicts to the bigger picture of what all of this will mean to our sports, our lifestyle, and even our home values. If we can create a world-class venue along with an equally world-class Series which is the richest for Dressage anywhere, everyone will come from Europe and all over to take part. Now that will truly be miraculous!
Cheers!

The excitement throughout the Dressage world is palpable and my phone has been ringing non-stop all day since we had our community meeting at the White Horse Tavern to unveil the plans for the world-class venue at the old Polo Grounds on South Shore Blvd. This is truly the beginning of a new era for the sport and I am thrilled that we already have 5 of the 6 “Founding Sponsors” we are looking for to begin work on the project!
So here’s the thing. I am looking for one more “Founding Sponsor” who will come on board with the others to ensure our dream comes true and that Wellington will be the home for the entire Dressage world every winter starting in 2012. If you, like me, share this dream, please get in touch with me here or on my facebook account right away. You will receive a great deal of publicity and a premier table during the winter Dressage Series by becoming on e of the 6 “Founding Sponsors”. And you will have my heartfelt gratitude!
Cheers!

Just over 2 years into President Obama’s 1st term and we are now feeling the housing market coming back, the economy is getting stronger, 16,000 less people showed up in line to say they were out of jobs and my only big criticism is that he has been thwarted from closing Guantonamo as he promised.
On the other side, the Republicans, who constantly want us all to forget that it was under their administration for 8 years that we went from Clinton’s surplus economy and a balanced budget into 2 wars, one which was unfounded altogether, a recession which was the worse since the Great Depression, and the collapse of the housing market along with huge bail-outs of banks and other institutions. This is what Obama inherited and what Republicans and right-wind media keep telling Americans is his fault for not fixing fast enough.
But what has me outraged is that these very Republicans who refuse to raise taxes on the highest 2% of wage earners in America not only want to cut wages on SCHOOL TEACHERS, but also take away their ability to have collective bargaining, something their so-called greatest President, Reagan, was quoted as saying to do so was against everything America stood for. What hypocrites and absolute morons! And when you look at the group already stepping forward into the limelight to seek the 2012 Presidency, it makes me not know whether to laugh or cry. Thank GOD I will hold with my long-time prediction that the United States will continue to inprove under the wisdom and leadership of President Obama and he will easily win re-election in 2012 to go forward with an even greater second term!
Cheers!

Yesterday evening it was made extremely evident to everyone involved just how excited our Wellington Dressage community is over the prospect of having a dedicated, World-class Dressage venue as well as an equally world-class Series for 2012! Over 100 people came out and crowded into the White Horse Tavern to hear and ask questions about the plans and to view the renderings. The excitement in the room was palpable as Mark Bellissimo articulated how this fantastic Aachen style show grounds would become the Gateway to Wellington’s horse world and bring riders and their teams and sponsors from around the globe for a winter series richer and with a lifestyle like no other! These words resonated so deeply in people at their very core that within minutes we were receiving sponsorship commitments and I need to personally thank the first 3 of them: the boys from Wellington Equestrian Realty, Matt Varney and Chris and Rob Desino. Also, Victoria McCullough, who has never been anything but stellar when I have asked her for help on behalf of the Equestrian Aid Foundation or any other great cause! And Tuny Page and Stillpoint Farm, another person who helps with just about every important cause in Wellington while finding the time and energy to compete internationally at the highest level! My heartfelt thanks go out to you all and I am thrilled that many more people are waiting for our Sponsor Packages which will be out in the next few days so that they can read them and determine exactly the degree to which they will give. I have absolutely no doubt that we will surpass my intended goal and that this, one of my greatest dreams, will most definitely become a reality and keep on growing over the next years to come!
Truly, I have all of you to thank. It is my friends and my fans from around the world who have inspired me to keep on reaching and yes, even pushing hard at times, to raise the bar and set higher standards for myself and my world…. Dover’s World!
As you can see from my homepage, showing both a Symposium I am doing in April in New Jersey and a Clinic I am conducting in May, my “Farewell Tour” (think Cher or Bob Hope) is officially back on now that my stint as Coach/ Technical Advisor for Canada comes to an end April 3rd. I have been getting some request via Facebook but I have to admit that I don’t get to read all my messages there every day. I do, however, read my e-mails coming to me personally or to Robert@DoversWorld.com consistently, so please, if you are interested in setting something up for the summer, fall, or even next year, send your requests here as opposed to my Facebook account.
I primarily am doing Symposia as I feel I can reach far more people and I enjoy that kind of forum where it is highly interactive with the audience, as opposed to simply teaching individuals which I do every day of my working life. That is not to say that I do not appreciate my students and having a steady stream of clients to help, because I truly do. It is just that doing a symposium allows me to be creative in a different way and deal with horses and riders at all levels for the benefit of not only them, but also for the spectators who tell me they get a great deal from this kind two day event.
So please feel free to get in contact with me and I hope to be coming to somewhere near you very soon and to meet you personally if we haven’t already. All of the information about my clinics and symposia may be found by clicking the
“Farewell Tour” icon at the top of my homepage.
Cheers!

I am always amazed at how our Equestrian world is so much like a microcosm of the “real world”, in both the very good and the very bad ways. I was talking last week on my radio show about how many wonderful charities are supported by our community and this week it has been a testament to societies everywhere that they have come to the aid of Japan in its hour of need. Is is equally interesting to me how fear and politics are both inherently pervasive in times of great change, whether that change is for the public god or not. Knee jerk reactions are, so many times, the result of past experiences and personal differences rather than a measured response based on an accurate and methodical investigation of the TRUTH.
Watching the news right now and all of the speculation as to everything going on with the nuclear disasters which are hopefully going to be contained without more lives being endangered, I see how the media is at the very heart of how our lives are being effected as we react to comments from the journalists. We are bombarded by the “what if it happens any minute in California” and there is no way to not be afraid, even here in Florida.
And here in Wellington, as we talk about creating a new venue for Dressage and other FEI disciplines which will be very similar to Aachen’s, including a major stadium, a covered arena, other warm-up arenas, as well as a Jumping Derby field, Retail and Hospitality areas, and even a luxury condominium/hotel complex on the 57 acres where the old Polo Stadium once was, produces both a great deal of excitement from most people but a similar negative knee-jerk reaction from people who don’t know all the facts. Instead of joining us and being a part of what I feel certain will be a bright new era for Dressage in Wellington, America and truly, the world, some people, because of a lack of trust or their own agenda, take up arms against any change whatsoever, and for this I am saddened.
It is my greatest hope that everyone will come together for the greater good and support the dream of creating the finest show grounds in the world for Dressage and the other FEI sports as well as my personal dream of producing an equally world-class Series of 3 CDIW’s, 1 CDI5*, and the first annual CDIO Nations Cup, all of which will bring riders from all over to Wellington for the winters, starting in 2012! Come out tomorrow evening at 6:30pm to The White Horse Tavern for the unveiling of the plans for both the venue and the Series. I will see you there!
Cheers!
