Spirit, super fancy and beautiful stallion by Sir Donnerhall. Sir Donnerhall is the exclusive Young Horse National Champion and Reserve World Champion Producer of the Reserve Approval Champion and premium stallions as well as highly demanded foals.

Wherever he goes, Sir Donnerhall casts a spell. His young but already exciting career marked by numerous highlights was crowned in 2007 when seven young stallions out of his first crop were approved. The highly acclaimed Sir Rubin was rewarded the title “Reserve Champion” of the approvals in Vechta. At the Westphalian approvals a handsome Sir-Donnerhall was sold for € 150,000, at the Oldenburg approvals another one achieved a bid of € 100,000. His foals are highly sought after: Feuertaufe sold for € 31,000 in Vechta, Ruhm und Ehre for € 30,000 and another colt sold for € 20,000. Sir Donnerhall produced the reserve Champion colt at the 2007 German Foal Championships and another filly, who achieved an outstanding 3rd place. In 2006 he celebrated a superior victory in the five-year-old division at the national young horse championships. In 2003 he was honoured with a 1c premium and won his 30 day test scoring in all three gaits with top marks between 9.0 and 10.0. The test riders awarded him with a 9.5 for rideability. In his 70 test he did even better and scored a dressage index of 163 points - a score never achieved by a stallion before. After winning the qualifier for the finals of the world championships at the age of five with a score of 9.2, he came second overall. A masterpiece has been created with Sir Donnerhall by joining together the two exceptional producers Sandro Hit and Donnerhall. Sir Donnerhall’s dam Contenance D excelled at the Oldenburg mare show and is a descendant of an exquisite mare line. The coveted blood line of the thoroughbred Grundymann xx can be found in the fourth generation. Sir Donnerhall - stallions like him are hard to find.

Sir Donnerhall:

Spirits grand sire is the famous Fürst Heinrich. Tragically this sire passed away at the age of 7 in 2005, but in his short time he became a legend. He won: - 30 day stallion performance testing in Muenster Handorf 2001 with the winning scores in both dressage and jumping - Champion of the 4 year old stallions of the Oldenburg stallion days 2002 - NRW stallion championships in 2002 - 5 Year Old World Young Horse Champion in 2005 In addition to being a world class sport horse he also produced top quality offspring that: - sold for high prices at auction - won the 2003 German Foal Championships, - won the Southern German Foal Championships, - won stallion licensing

Fürst Heinrich:

Spirit is a dream to come true. He is ridden by the young lady in the video and shows himself reliable and very well behaved, she truly loves him and can’t wait to get on his back every day. He is easy to manage on the ground as well as under saddle and comes with great rideability, willingness to please and he is light in the hand. His trot work, especially his extended trot is phenomenal, his gaits are truly breathtaking and he is surely one of a kind.

He has a great motor, free shoulder and much airtime and is fun to ride every time out. He will draw the attention to himself and his rider at the horse shows and judges and the audience will remember this guy no matter if you are competing or if you’ll take him out to clinics and school him for his future carrier.

He was started very correctly and early in life and as you can see in the video, he is easy enough for a young woman to ride even at his very young age and is a horse for everybody alike, for sure a great addition to a show barn. He will collect the ribbons for you with his great attitude and judges will remember his fancy expression. He is definitely the quality for a professional but easy enough for an amateur as well.

He is ready to go to his new owner and impress with his looks and potential for the upper levels. This boy will go his way up the levels with ease and fun, hopefully you’ll be the one guiding him there and getting all the nice compliments you are looking for.

He loads, stands for the farrier and he is a gentleman all around. Here is your chance to buy a high quality stallion and bring him along all the way to Grand Prix!

Buy him now and show him yourself in the 4 year old Young Horse Championships in 2013 and in addition you could breed with him if you wish and produce your own quality offspring and influence the future riding horse industry!

X-rays on file.

$ 80,000 - Including import and quarantine to NY (as a gelding!), check out his video clip!!!

Mom’s Corner

This weeks Police Blotter
A few weeks ago I wrote about the amusing (to me) police report concerning the cab that came into the subdivision and saw the police fanned out across the street. When asked by the cab driver, one said they were looking for suspects in a home robbery. The cab driver answered, Maybe they are the ones who just called for a cab.
This it is dead serious business, and is not supposed to be taken lightly, but some things that are printed sure do tickle my funny bone.
At 4:30 p.m. a thief entered an UNLOCKED car and stole the owners purse while she was pumping gas!
How about this one?  An acquaintance drove off in a woman’s white 1993 white Buick Century following an argument.
Here is one that is really insulting. Between 5:30 PM and 10:30 A.M. someone pried open a business rear door. Several items were moved around, but nothing was reported missing.
There are about 5 more purse snatching. It is hard to understand women not hiding their purses in this day and age, and time of the year.
A women called the police to report her boyfriends ex-girlfriend is  harassing her.
And last but not least. A man called police to tell them his ex-wife was threatening him.
I hope I started off your week with a laugh.
                                  Love,
                        Robert’s Mom, Jean

Of Mosques And Men - A Great Plan!

One of my friends sent me this today and I could not agree more. We need a major call for tolerance in America and around the world. The following is funny but hits the point. Enjoy!

I  am perplexed that so many of my friends are against a mosque  being built near Ground Zero. I think it should be the goal of  every society to be tolerant.  The mosque should be  allowed, in an effort to promote tolerance.

That  is why I also propose, that two gay nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque thereby promoting tolerance within the  mosque. We could call the clubs “The Turban Cowboy” and “You  Mecca Me So Hot”.

Next  door should be a butcher shop that specialises in pork and has an open barbecue with spare ribs as its daily special.   Across the street a very daring lingerie store called  ”Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret” with sexy mannequins in the  window modelling the goods.

Next  door to the lingerie shop, there would be room for an Adult Toy Shop (Koranal Knowledge?), its name in flashing neon lights, and on the other side a liquor store, maybe call it “Morehammered”?

If  you agree in promoting tolerance and you think this is a good plan, pass it on.

News From The International Dressage Desk: FEI Dressage Task Force Meetings Summary

Here is a summary of the two days (mostly nights for me) of meetings of the FEI Dressage Task Force. It will be out later everywhere but my Dover’s World readers. Get the first look.

Cheers!
RD

Summary from Dressage Task Force meeting 21/22 April Lausanne

Task 3. The DTF discussed various options relating to the Olympic formula. These proposals will be presented in the final report to the Bureau. The Sports Director will keep the Task Force informed concerning developments relating to 2012.

Task 4. The qualification process for the Olympic Games (together with other major Championships) will be reviewed in the Summer once the relevant papers have been received from the IOC.

Task 5. The DTF is communicating with the Nominations Committee relating to the future makeup of the Dressage Committee. This will be in line with the statutes, as was strongly supported by the NFs and the Nominations Committee prior to the recent Bureau meeting. The Secretary General briefed the Task Force on the evolving governance framework and the roles of Technical Committees, the Nominations Committee, the Bureau and Headquarters in the democratic process that leads to election and appointment of committee members.
World Cup Rules 2009/2010. Some amendments, based on feedback from National Federations, have been made to the World Cup Rules, which will be sent to the FEI Bureau for approval

World Cup Finals. There was discussion about the World Cup final allocation for 2011 and 2012. The final allocation will be decided by the Bureau in mid May.

Dressage Rules revisions. The Task Force were informed that the only rules revisions that will be allowed for this year are where there are urgent operational reasons. This is because there was a major rules revision last year.

Dressage Judges Education. Dr Harald Muller discussed the education system that he is working on. The aim now is to get the system moving forwards as soon as possible so that it can be put in place in 2010.

Dr David Stickland gave a presentation concerning tools to improve judge training and education involving statistical analysis. It was felt that this will be an excellent tool to combine with the work that is being done by the Task Force.

Task 1 and 2. Presentations were received from experts from the sports of Ice Skating and Gymnastics regarding their judging systems. These models were extremely educational and the DTF feel that it is important to look at these models in order to modify and modernise the judging of dressage.

The Dressage Task Force will continue their work and keep Stakeholders informed of their progress.

Florida Horse Deaths Linked to Pharmacy

It breaks my heart that these wonderful animals died because of the errors of the pharmacy which prepared the solution given to them. Still, I am glad that at least it wasn’t found to be the result of someone’s purposeful desire to harm either them or their owner. I am certain that the wrongful deaths of the ponies will be adjudicated and send my deepest condolences to everyone who loved them and mourn their loss.

News From The International Dressage Desk

Well, all I can say is that I’m exhausted, after two days of FEI Dressage Task Force meetings. While I cannot brief you quite yet, as the minutes must be summarized and cleared with our group, I can tell you that these were actually “in-person meetings”, however, due to the great expense of flying me to Lausanne, it was decided that I would take part via video and tele-conference.

What even I forgot was the time difference, thus my meetings were from 3:00 am to noon for the last two days! And then I still had to go ride my ponies and “have my normal day”. I am now legally and officially classified as a “Zombie”!

So as soon as I come back from the dead, I promise to bring everyone up to date on these and all other Dover’s World issues.

Cheers!

21 Horse Deaths in Wellington Today

I am stunned and very sad about the deaths of so many horses in Wellington today. I’m sure they will find that they died of contaminated food but I can’t imagine how awful it had to be to watch helplessly as these poor animals fell to the ground. I know all equestrians’ hearts go out to all those suffering their loss.

Steffen Makes History in Vegas!

Steffen Peters did what only one American before, Debbie McDonald, had done - he won the World Cup final last night before an ecstatic home crowd in Las Vegas. And here is why this win was still the very best. Debbie was declared the winner after the actual first place, Ulle Salzgaber, was disqualified for her horse having illegal drugs in him. Not that Deb wasn’t great, because she was; but Steffen’s win was just that - an outright win, despite the displeasure of second place, Isabel Werth, who took exception to the fact that 3 judges had her placed 1st while our U.S. as well as the Dutch judges placed Steffen squarely ahead.

Calling the class myself, I honestly could not predict the outcome of these final 2, though I had all the others pretty much right on, (save for Ashley, who I thought rode better than the score that was given her - I would have had her at about the same score as Hans Peter Minderhoud).

Isabel was truly wonderful last night, and other than a mistake in the 2 tempis which she failed to repeat in order to bring up that particular score, she rode a masterful test. Satchmo piaffed better than I have ever seen him, though Isabel did do at least one of her piaffes on the short-side at A, decidedly easier than when they are placed off the walls.

Steffen’s ride was just as if not more difficult, showed equal ground covering with Ravel as did Satchmo with Isabel, and played beautifully to the crowd as well as the judges, using pieces from Cold Play which we all knew well. Ravel did have a few tense spots starting the changes and before one pirouette, but made no true errors.

Either pair of these riders and horses were deserving of being named the champion last night. But I have to tell you honestly and not so secretly that I could not be happier or more proud that it was America’s Steffen Peters who was crowned the 2009 FEI. Dressage World Cup Champion!

Cheers!
